Converting Your Vintage Six-16 Camera
One hundred year old plus box cameras are still completely viable, working cameras. Unfortunately the challenge when using them is in dealing with long discontinued film formats. The most difficult of these are old 616 cameras. The cameras are still easy to come by and affordably priced in thrift stores and online at sites like ebay — they’re pretty cool looking too. Not to be discouraged, I spent an afternoon a few years ago testing and rigging up a system using common household bits and bobs that allow still available 120 film to be used in place of 616 film.

*As an aside: be advised that old 616 and 620 metal spools are difficult to replace so be sure to request that the lab return your spools with your developed film.
