Bay to Breakers
When my friends invited me to fly across the country to “participate” in a marathon dressed as Elvis, my response was, “why not?” Bay to Breakers is an annual event that pairs a 12K marathon with a costume contest. I barely walk the 5K events in my city and yet I will be at the event this Sunday in San Francisco. The race begins at 8:00 am, starting at San Francisco’s Embarcadero (the Bay) and ending in Golden Gate Park. Look for me. I’ll be the Elvis with the huge afro, standing on the side.
