For those devotees of Thrift Town in San Leandro, California, there’s a vintage clothing sale in Oakland this Saturday you won’t want to miss. A Fine Tooth, an atelier profiled in our Image is Everything Issue, recently acquired 5,000 pieces of deadstock women’s garments, and is hawking the loot at bargain basement prices ($1 per piece, $10 per bag). Saturday’s event, titled Let’s Get Ugly, runs from 11am to 7pm at the Blankspace Gallery (6608 San Pablo Ave at 66th St), and promises campy garb that dates from the mid-60s through the mid-80s. Perfect for cultivating that Dynasty look.
