Paper Crafting
I’m going to London for the weekend, so to keep myself amused on the long train journey, I’ve been looking up fun paper craft ideas and games to play.
If you are tired of tic tac toe and hangman, then here is a game that you might not have played before:
Capture
This is a two player game where the objective is to “capture” as many cubes as possible.
1. Draw out a grid of 6 dots across the way and 6 dots down.
2. Take two different colours of pencils, one for you and one for your opponent.
3. Take turns to draw lines in between each of the dots.
4. Whenever the lines match up to form a square, whoever drew the connecting line gets to shade in the center of the lines with their colour, this is called capturing the square.
5. After a player captures a square, they must draw the next line.
6. When all the dots are connected and all the squares are captured, count up how many squares of each colour there are. The player who captured the most squares wins.
If you get tired of trying to beat your friends at paper games and feel like being creative, then check out this fantastic website that teaches you how to make Star Wars origami. There will never be a dull moment!
