Nautie, Nautie
Old fashioned types stitch up teddy bears. But what to do if your tastes are more prehistoric? Knit yourself a Nautiloid.
Knitty is offering free patterns for the shell-bound creatures, and a brief description of what the heck they are:
“For almost 500 million years, nautiloids were the coolest kids around. They ate trilobites, had shells in a variety of fantastical shapes, and ranged from bite-size to 12 feet long.”
Yours will only be about 7 inches. (Unless you’re feeling ambitious, of course.) Get ready for some conical cuddling.
