Crafty Leftovers
If you’re a craftster, there is no doubt you have a drawer full of beads, buttons, and scraps amassed for some future project. Well look no further: here are ideas aplenty for how to use up those leftovers.
Create yourself some pretty accessories by turning a spare pair of chopsticks in to hair sticks or make yourself a button bracelet.
DIY Beads
Use up old magazines and spare bits of paper by making them in to beads.
You will need:
Strips of Paper
Flour
Water

1. Cut the magazines, paper or newspaper in to long strips. |

2. Make a paper mache mixture by combing two parts water with 1 part flour until a thick glue forms. |
 |
3. Take a cocktail skewer or thin stick and wrap the paper around it. |
 |
4. Repeat until you have filled up the stick and then leave to dry. |
 |
5. When the beads are dry, remove them from the stick and decorate or paint. |
Alternatively, use up spare cards, images and photographs by turning them in to a date flipper.
Sew together left over strips of fabric and make yourself a fabric knit belt or use up extra ribbon and beads to make an easy ribbon knot bracelet.
