Back To School
Whether it be high school, university, film school or art college, everyone hates those dreaded words “back to school”. So here are a few projects to help you along and hopefully make the experience a little more enjoyable.
Exactly what every art student needs, a pencil case roll-up. Keep your pencils safe and organized while looking oh so stylish. Or, for the mathetician, archietect or fashion designer, keeps your digits protected with a calculator cosy.
Ruler Wristband
A ruler wristband is helpful, stylish and easy to make. Here’s how.
You will need:
- Fabric
- Fabric Pen
- Ruler
- Pins
- Sewing Machine
- Snaps & Snapper Gun

1. Cut a long strip of fabric, fold it in half, pin it and then use the ruler to draw out the inch markings with a fabric pen. |

2. Flip it over and then mark out the centimeter markings. |
 |
3. Fold the fabric around the other way, so that the markings are facing each other on the inside, and sew along the edge. |
 |
4. Fold inside out, fold the edges under, sew along the edges and then attach a snap to either side of wristband and it’s ready to wear. |
