Fun Fling
Inspired by watching a pumpkin hurling last weekend, I’ve been looking up how to make a trebuchet. Not surprisingly, the internet has plenty to offer. Ripcord has free plans for a trebuchet capable of flinging a tennis ball, the site includes instruction and explanation. There are a few places which offer plans for small desktop trebuchets. The plans at Storm the Castle offer plenty of assembly instruction. Also see these plans and instructions for a small trebuchet built from craft popsicle sticks. And Instructables offers another wooden desktop model. My favorite, though, is this tiny trebuchet built from office supplies over at Instructables.
