The Food Network’s Alton Brown offers his recipe on DIY microwave popcorn. After reading this recipe, I felt really silly that I’d spent countless hours debating the difference between butter lover’s and movie butter popcorn. Did I think that greasy, plastic-wrapped bag offered special popcorn magic? Well, I no longer have to contemplate. I can make my own, with or without the butter.
