3-2-1 contact!
Curbly reader Lilybee, whose DIY sensibilities were instilled in her by a father “who makes MacGyver look like a slack-jawed fumblethumbs,” has turned one of Ikea’s $13 Lack tables into a downright masterpiece. The secret? Wood grain contact paper.
Inspired by this pretty, but prohibitively expensive, Signature 2.0 console, she cut a few springtime-y shapes from the contact paper, stuck ‘em to the table top, and ended up with an impressive subsitute for about a hundredth of the price.
She even added an adorable little ant to the to the table leg!

Hmm… I wonder how some contact-paper cut-outs would look on my white-laminate kitchen cabinets?
