Party people
ReadyMade’s first annual Re-Fashion issue debuted with a bang last week at the Potrero Hill Design Within Reach store in San Francisco. It’s possible we owe it all to Hangar One Vodka’s exotic ice sculpture/vodka luge, but the 500+ people who showed up were looking for more than just kaffir lime-infused goodness. Not one for the standard booze and schmooze, ReadyMade partygoers were treated to real-life designers getting their due (via a fashion show that debuted projects from the magazine), sneak-peek copies of the new ish, the chance to ogle glorious DWR design and—it must be said—hobnob with stylish, creative, and smart people all night long (people like you, of course).
