Like mother, like son
My dad’s birthday was a few weeks ago, and after watching him unwrap the mammoth chop saw she bought him, my mom took us all out back and let us shoot off a couple of rounds with her new nail gun. My folks have always been Do-It-Yourselfers, but in recent years things have gotten a bit out of hand. So, I wasn’t all that surprised when my mom sent me a link to Free Woodworking Plans, which has collected and catalogued over 800 different free plans from all around the Web. By offering up instructions for making everything from “arbors” to “yard art” (What, no Zs?!) it’s inevitable that the quality will vary from project to project, but it’s still a great place for beginners and pros alike to get inspired for their next project.
