I love sushi. I love eating it, and I love the way it looks. So here’s a project for getting that sushi look, without all the fishy business.
You will need:
- Strips of colored paper in shades of green, orange, and white (old magazine pages work great for this).
- Mod Podge or PVA Glue
- Scissors
 |
1. Take a colored strip of paper and roll it up tightly. Cover in glue and allow to dry. |
 |
2. Make two more rolls, and stick the three together. |
 |
3. Take a strip of white paper and wrap it around the three colored rolls. When you get to the end of a strip, glue on another and keep rolling and rolling. |
 |
4. When you’re satisfied with the size of the sushi, take a dark green strip of paper and wrap it around everything else, securing it in place with glue. Leave to dry and voila—sushi that’s almost good enough to eat. |
You can use your paper sushi to create jewelery, ornaments, and charms, among other things. For a softer and fluffier alternative, you can try making felt sushi, too.
