Taking the pledge
I’m sure I’m not alone in this, but every year around holiday time I SWEAR I’m only going to make gifts for friends and family. There will be no more last minute freakouts, I say, no more running around town buying a bunch of crap from big stores I normally avoid. And then every year, I end up running around town buying a bunch of crap from big stores I normally avoid. Well, not this year. I SWEAR! Or, at least I PLEDGE! And you can too. The folks over at buyhandmade.com have created a fun website where people can publicly pledge their allegiance to all things handmade and request that others do the same for them. So go ahead, take the pledge and support your local crafters, artists, and small business people this holiday season.
