Good for Goodwill
Who doesn’t like supporting Goodwill, either through donations, or new-to-you fashion and housewares? For a different twist on thrift store couture, check out William Good, an innovative company started by apparel designer—and Joe Boxer founder—Nick Graham. Taking an adaptive reuse approach to garments, William Good tailors and tricks out post-retail Goodwill donations that are destined for recycling or salvage, and turns them into one-of-a-kind pieces to be auctioned off on eBay, with profits going back to Goodwill. They’re even opening a brick-and-mortar outpost in San Francisco’s Fillmore Street store, just in case you’re a try-it-on-first kind of do-gooder.
