Make a Christmas alterna-tree
Alternative Christmas tree ideas are all over the Internets these days, and here’s one more to add to the list: Inspired by a recent MacGyver Challenge, reader Chris Koss of Dallas, Texas created a shiny silver Tannenbaum from junk-mail AOL CDs. The instructions are super simple: 1) Glue the discs to a piece of cardboard or foam board in the shape of an evergreen. 2) Punch holes in the cardboard backing through the middle of each CD, and push mini-lights through from the back (extra points if you use energy efficient LEDs). 3) Hang the tree and plug in the lights. 4) Rock around your [recycled] Christmas tree.
