Get the stank out
Last weekend after a salmon recipe gone wrong, my kitchen was filled with the not-so-pleasant aroma I like to call “fish market.” In need of a non-toxic air-freshening solution, I decided to create my own…
The process is (literally) as easy as 1, 2, 3:
1. Raid your pantry for edibles that smell delightful—lemons, oranges, lavender, ginger, or mint, for example—and slice or chop it up. I went with lemons.
2. Add your ingredient of choice to a pot of water and bring to a boil.
3. The steam emitted from the boiling mixture will fill your home (or at least your kitchen) with a lovely scent. Turn on a ceiling fan for a little extra help in circulating the aroma to rid the air of whatever funk has you holding your nose.
