A book of mornings
Last year, I spent many a morning clicking around the visual blog 3191 to catch a glimpse of the daily photo conversation shared by Maria Alexandra Vettese and Stephanie Congdon Barnes. Both women live in Portland—one in Maine, one in Oregon, 3,191 miles apart—and the two friends spent a full year, from January 1 to December 31, 2007, exchanging images of their daily lives.
Now those charming photographs can grace more than your computer screen. The project is being turned into a book called A Year of Mornings (to be published by Princeton Architectural Press) and will be coming to a coffee table near you this fall. In the meantime, log on to 3191 for the ladies’ latest project: A Year of Evenings.
