Now here’s a contest after our own heart: Aiming to keep some of the 700,000 carpet samples that ship each year away from the landfill, Ample Sample is a Macgyver-esque competition that asks entrants to come up with a design idea that transforms carpet samples into furniture, personal accessories, or other products. Last year’s winners are totally inspiring and include everything from a magazine bin (pictured) to a chaise lounge; check ‘em out for some great ideas that could easily become DIY projects with a FLOR tile or three, then come up with a new project and enter this year’s event. Submissions will be accepted through May 10th.
