DIYF (Do-It-Yourself Friday): Make a plastic bag dryer
I’ve been seeing plastic bag dryers all over the blogosphere lately. And while I’m all about getting a few extra uses out of disposable plastic bags, these gizmos just aren’t worth the money (twenty bucks!). Why? Because they are super simple—and cheap—to make.
{ Ingredients }
- Chopsticks or kabob skewers
- A vessel of some sort (I used a small juice glass)
- A handful of uncooked rice or beans (sugar or sand will work too)
{ Make It }
1. Fill the bottom of the glass with uncooked rice or beans (or sugar or sand).
2. Stick chopsticks or kabob skewers (pointed ends in!) into the rice/beans/sugar/sand.
3. Hang rinsed-out bags on the chopsticks or kabob skewers to dry.
4. Use the $20 you saved to buy yerself sumthin’ nice.
