Dangling participants: A mobile swap
Meg over at Elsie Marley has sneaked the mobile out of the nursery. Earlier this year, she started a mobile swap after taking down her holiday decorations at winter’s end, only to reveal a barren house. The swap is now complete, and the participants have posted photos of their mobiles on flickr. Two of my favorites (both pictured here) are letter9’s paper bird-and-branch combo and sparklecandace’s white-on-white dots, made from circles cut from vintage doilies. The point being, even though the swap is over, there’s no reason you can’t craft a mobile of your own. And once it’s hanging from the ceiling and dancing and swaying in the summer breeze, you’ll be glad you didn’t settle for vinyl wall decals instead.
