I-Do-it-Yourself: Wedding projects
Every Thursday, the Once Wed blog posts a DIY wedding project created by Laurie Cinotto of LaLaLaurie. As July is smack in the middle of the wedding season, brides should take note of these modern and lovely (and affordable!) ideas. This past Thursday, Laura wrote instructions for turning Moleskine notebooks into table numbers. The books’ covers direct guests to their dinner tables, and once seated, the guests can use the notebooks to write notes to the bride and groom. The project is totally customizable: Instead of covering each notebook with fancy paper and gold numbering, as shown here, you could also have your moleskines laser-engraved.
For all its projects, Once Wed does the number-crunching for you (each moleskine table number costs $5.75 to make). Another great idea: For around $30 each, you could also make Laura’s ribbon-wrapped gladiola centerpieces. And thanks to these crafty, budget-friendly solutions, you might just be able to add another night’s stay to your honeymoon.
