Hold Steady: Jason Munn does T-shirts

What graphic designer Reid Miles was to Blue Note Records during the jazz era, Jason Munn of The Small Stakes is to the modern-day indie music scene. Munn’s exquisite screenprinted posters for very fantastic bands and musicians (including Modest Mouse, The Books, Jens Lekman, Broken Social Scene, DeerHoof, and My Brightest Diamond) have landed his oeuvre not only in the SFMOMA’s permanent collection, but in the home of pretty much every ReadyMade editor as well. Which is why we’re so excited that Munn has joined forces with Insound to create the Insound 20, a series of limited-edition T-shirts, hoodies, and posters for 20 of your [most likely] favorite bands. Plus, 100 percent of the sales of the specially designed companion merch, Insound20 (+1), will benefit 826NYC, the home of Brooklyn’s own Superhero Supply Co. and tutoring center.
