Throw it up high and in quantity to impress your friends and city officials.” Developed by the Graffiti Research Lab, LED Throwies seem to be incredibly easy and cheap to make.
Whiplash over at Whipup is a weekly craft competition open to one and all, based around an ever-changing theme with great prizes. This week’s theme is the inspiring “Your Surly Side.” The top five winners will receive copies of Julie Jackson’s “Subversive Cross Stitch.”

Natural Home & Garden is a bi-monthly magazine focusing on environmentally conscious approaches to home design, interior decorating, and natural living. While I haven’t seen the print edition, the online archives offer lots to explore.
The Sampler is the brilliant brainchild of Marie Kare. Each month sample goodies from online indie businesses (crafting folks, record labels, zines and so on) are bundled up and sent out to about 400 subscribers.
Marie is currently seeking special submissions. On June 1st, 185 gift boxes from The Sampler will be given out at the MTV Movie Awards Pre-Show Style Lounge.
