Think of this as a handheld gallery of inspiration to carry in your pocket. It's comprised of a series of handmade goods offered by ReadyMade readers who have set up their own cottage industries.
Each piece is framed on its own with a descriptive, museum-style wall text below. We hope to bring a layer of artful integrity to this catalog of crafts—no mass-produced anything allowed! It's all about the singular charm of the object.
WHY DID WE MAKE IT?When we launched ReadyMade more than five years ago, we were the first project-based magazine dedicated to those of you who make things. We wanted to close the gap for closet Martha Stewart and This Old House readers who couldn't find a community of like-minded do-it-yourselfers. Flash forward to today ... the ReadyMade movement is in full force! The bottom line is that without our close-knit group of makers, we wouldn't be here today. So to pay homage to you, our creative kin, we created the ReadyMaker Digest to showcase your wares.
WHEN DOES IT COME OUT?The ReadyMaker Digest is slated to run twice a year, SPRING/SUMMER and FALL/WINTER.
WHERE CAN I FIND IT?Bound into the April/May and October/November issues of ReadyMade magazine, the Digest will also be on tour and available at all ReadyMade events during the four to six month interlude between print runs. Bonus: ReadyMaker Digest will also be duplicated online with a direct link to your website.
